For more than 30 years, BRASIF has been working closely and productively with the land. Whether on beef livestock, corn and soybean crops, sugarcane processing or the research on genetic improvement of cattle, the company performs with excellence, taking to the agricultural business the same degree of innovation and diversification devoted to all other segments. The company currently owns lands in the Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Mato Grosso.

Brazil is know for having some of the finest Nelore cattle herds in the world. BRASIF is an active participant of this process since 1971, in its Mata Velha farms.

Quality standard

The Mata Velha Nelore cattle descends from the VR lineage, one of the oldest and most noble breeds in Brazil. Our breeding herd has achieved one of the highest quality standards in the world, and is a great source of pride to BRASIF. This high degree of success could only be achieved with the permanent attention of veterinary, nutrition and animal hygiene experts.

Our goal is to make every new Nelore generation an improvement compared to its predecessors. Year after year, that goal is being achieved by BRASIF. In every calf that is born, we see a new accomplishment.

Santa Marina Farm always tries to be more precise in its traditional selection, that is done according ABCZ’s (Associação Brasileira de Criadores de Zebu) recommendations and with the professionals of the well known and respected Nelore zootecny experience.  That is why since 2000, Santa Marina counts on the technical support of Embrapa’s Genetic Improvement Program – GENEPLUS.  

Santa Marina’s goal is keep having friends and clients trust as it has always been; offering genetic material that contributes effectively to improve the productivity rates, product quality and profitability of the cattle production system; keeping Nelore’s functionality and beauty. 

In São Paulo and Mato Grosso are located the Beef Cattle Farms. In a wide pasture, Brasif owns a herd which has thousands of Nelore cattle.
